Pantech C600 3G phone given FCC nod
Pantech can breathe a sigh of relieve as the FCC recently approved the C600 cellphone. This quad-band GSM/EDGE plus 850/1900 UMTS handset shows indicators that point it towards a Cingular release in the U.S., although there is nothing written in concrete yet. We don't know whether there is any Bluetooth connectivity built into the clamshell C600, but we do know that it comes with an internal antenna, a couple of cameras, and dual color displays. When released, the C600 holds the distinction of being the first UMTS 3G phone in the U.S. from Pantech.
