Concept phones from ModeLabs

ModeLabs from France has come up with a trio of concept cellphones that are self-sufficient and do not suffer from battery woes like so many of today’s handset do. The YoYo model is worn around the neck and comes with a solar panel and a built-in pendulum as energy sources, while the U-Turn targets the business community, obtaining its energy from opening and closing the keyboard. The Runaway caters for the athletic types that uses kinetic energy from exercise to power itself. Of course, their cause is helped by the lack of features such as a huge color display, MP3 playback, video recording, and even WiFi/GPS/Bluetooth connectivity, but I am sure that many would love having a cellphone that never dies off.
