Just as FCC approved the Palm Treo 750 yesterday, the Treo 680 also received the nod. Since more advanced documents such as the manual and external images are unavailable for public consumption, we will just have to make do with the label located below the battery. Being the less well-endowed sibling of the Treo 750, you can expect the 680 to run on Palm’s very own Operating System. The antena-less look takes some getting used to, but it is a step in the right direction. Shortcomings include the lack of 3G connectivity. Cingular will be offering the Treo 680 in two flavors – with or without a camera.
