FCC approves BenQ-Siemens AF51

The
almighty FCC certainly took its time in giving the
BenQ-Siemens AF51 handset its nod, so hopefully we will be able to see it arrive at store shelves soon. The AF51 is pretty much an entry-level cellphone, equipped with mundane features such as a 65k color display, MMS support, GPRS connectivity, and an integrated WAP/XHTML browser. You might raise an eyebrow when you realize the AF51 does not come with an integrated camera, neither does it have MP3 playback capability. This probably means the AF51 uses polyphonic ringtones which are so 2000. You can pick up the BenQ-Siemens AF51 in Panther Black and Dolphin Grey when it is released.
