Cingular HSDPA LG CU500 phone debuts
LG lifted the curtain on Cingular Wireless' HSDPA clamshell handset, the CU500 at IFA 2006. This quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900MHz) cellphone offers UMTS/HSDPA connectivity that ensures blazing fast downloads whenever you're connected to the network. The CU500 measures 3.8" x 1.95" x 0.76" and weighs 3.7oz. The internal 65k color TFT LCD display and external 65k color TFT LCD display features 176 x 220 and 96 x 96 pixels respectively, while battery life is rated at 5 hours' for talk time and a standby time of up to 10 days, depending on the network. The LG CU500 also comes with a MusicID service which enables you to search for the music title and singer by speaking into the microphone. Pricing and availability details are currently unknown.

i had this problem
ok put it in and press 277634#*#
then go to 4, then 4 again and it'll be to recognize a mass storage device, then go down one [ 4,5] and press it so it says it removes the device. [sounds a little skiddish but it works]

Hey guys, for your issue with the PC not seeing the card, go under settings and then to connection and change it to mass storage instead of data service. Hopefully you got the cu500V so the microSD card issues are fixed, if not I would recommend taking it back and making sure you have the cu500V and not just the cu500 so you also have the newvideo feature. If your phone isnt seeing the card either (use at your own risk, you can make your phone unusable in the menu) you can do this 77634#*# - it will place you phone into test mode. Goto Port Setting, then click mass storage , then click mass storage remove. and hit the end key until the phone goes to the normal menu and try to access your card, should work. Also the cu500 is pretty picky about the memory sandisk cards are the most reliable. (1gb only) This is an issue that is supposed to be fixed on the next firmware update.

Also forums.cingular.com has tons of information on all these issues you people are having, just searcg cu500 and tons of posts will come up. Hope this has been helpful.

I just got this phone today and I am having the exact same problem as everyone else. I have a Kingston Micro SD 1GB Memory card and the data transfer cable. I plugged it in and my computer isn't recognizing it as a removable drive. It's not even recognizing it!
