Xplore M70 remains in Palm OS camp

No, the Palm OS is not quite dead yet as evidenced by the new Xplore M70 smartphone. This tri-band GSM cellphone (900/1800/1900MHz) is powered by Palm OS 5.4 Garnet, and features all the other trappings found on smartphones in its class. You will get a smashing 2.2" 262k color TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, a 1.3 megapixel camera, push e-mail, as well as video recording and playback capabilities. There is no word on when the M70 will be released though, and neither is there any information on how much it will cost. At least the Palm-based Treo has some company for the moment, just before the dying embers of the Palm platform go out.
