RIM goes official on Pearl

The Pearl has finally been unveiled officially by the good folks at Research in Motion. The Blackberry Pearl was developed with a vision of the end product being one of the smallest smartphones available in the market. One can safely say that the objective is close to successful as the smartphone measures just 4.2" x 1.97" x 0.57", weighing a mere 3.1 ounces. T-Mobile USA will unleash the Pearl in the US when September 12 rolls around. Our neighbors living in the Great White North and those residing across the Atlantic will have to wait until October, while the Asia Pacific and Latin America regions will have to make do without it until later this year.
