Toshiba has launched a new cellphone in Hong Kong, bringing consumers the 9.9mm thin tri-band GSM TS30 handset. The TS30 boasts a 1.93" QVGA screen and comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera, MP3 playback capability, a microSD card slot (maximum 1GB), Bluetooth connectivity, and a built-in radio all within the 81g frame. Battery life is rated at 2.5 hours' of talk time, which is not too hot. The TS30 should retail around $200 and will most probably go head-to-head with Sony Ericsson's K line. The TS30 will be available in Europe and Taiwan as well, with no mention of the U.S. as usual.
