Supper battery in the works
MIT researchers are working on a battery that takes just seconds to charge a cellphone or notebook batteries, offering the prospect of never replacing batteries ever again. Should their research lead to commercialization of such a battery within 5 years, the impact would be tremendous. Imagine traveling without the need to lug chargers for your cellphone, notebook, PDA, MP3 player, shaver, GPS system, Nintendo DS Lite, Portable Media Player, the list goes on. There might even have instant battery recharging kiosks that charge a minimal amount for a top up on your device.
