Sprint will launch a quartet of new handsets in July, and these will target the entry-level and mid-range crowd. All 4 handsets are able to backup and restore the contact list over the network. The 4 candidates are the Samsung A640 clamshell cellphone with Bluetooth and Push-To-Talk capabilities, the Sanyo Katana that follows its namesake with a RAZR-thin clamshell form factor and Bluetooth, the Sanyo 2400 clamshell with an old-school extendable antenna, and the Samsung A420 entry-level handset that feature entry-level goodies like a color display, a speakerphone, and text messaging capabilities.
