3G phone ban in Cambodia

3G phone ban in Cambodia
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen's wife received some pornography on her 3G handset, prompting the premier to introduce a country-wide ban on 3G technology altogether by bowing to his other half's request for action against the technology. This draconian move reflects the Prime Minister's Khmer Rouge past. Reuters reported that Hun Sen announced the clampdown of his decision to delay the use of certain cellphones until the country's populace can improve on its morality to use the technology wisely. This move is a shocker as Cambodia's 3G network was just opened earlier this year. Only a select few can afford 3G handsets, and Hun Sen's wife is one of the elect.

"We can wait 10 more years until we have managed to improve morality in society"

wonderful. 10 years ago there arent even mobile phones. they can wait another 10 years and the world will pass them by. the current 3g is not even predicted to last more than 5 years. :D
